The questions normally related to Vray software (part 1)

In this post, iRender will tell you to know about the problem with Vray software. Let’s consult the questions about V-Ray to be able to operate the best way.

Can you open the version of Vray software at the same time?

The answer is no! The older version will be uninstalled. When upgrading your license, you should keep the old license so you can install an older version when needed.

How is license authority?

V-Ray for Revit and for 3ds Max can be licensed for use as Dongle as well as online through the web browser interface. V-Ray for SketchUp and for Rhino just can be license when it has Dongle.

The online license will be connected to the account of V-Ray to login to chaosgroup.com. Internet connection must active.

License V-Ray can “borrow” for an offline activity for 14 days to other users. If you are not working with V-Ray anymore and someone wants to use the license, you can release a license from V-Ray for Revit Interface.

Can rental licenses sync?

Absolutely can. When you buy licenses, the sale will sync that for you.

What is SWARM?

SWARM is a Distributed Rendering System for V-ray that allows user to render their project on many machines at the same time. It is controlled using a web-based interface.

How does SWARM work?

Service SWARM for V-ray must be installed in all machines use to in the network rendering process. After that, you can activate V-Ray SWARM in Revit, by navigating to V-Ray’s rendering settings.

Is SWARM work on the internet?

No, all machines must be connected by LAN.
