Blender is a free and open source 3D creation suite. It supports the entirety of the 3D pipeline—modeling, rigging, animation, simulation, rendering, compositing and motion tracking, and video editing. As a community-driven project under the GNU General Public License (GPL), the public is empowered to make small and large changes to the code base, which leads to new features, responsive bug fixes, and better usability. In Blog's Today, we will learn with author Gachoki some tricks to reduce noise, grain, fireflies during rendering in Blender.

As you are reading this article, you are probably already learning or using Blender. But have you ever wondered why learning 3D with Blender is attractive in the middle of a forest of other famous 3D graphics software? Blender is a free 3D design software with a diversity of functions and plugins, backed by many big artists and companies behind. Blender is released under the GNU General Public License (GPL, or “free software”). In the scope of this article today, iRender will help you evaluate the aspects between Cycles and Eevee. It’s tempting to think of features as a checklist (ambient occlusion, refraction, etc.…), see that they are present in both engines, and assume that they are both capable of the same things. However, because of their differences in rendering methods, Eevee renders can get convincingly close to Cycles in many areas.

We all know that Blender is not only an open-source 3D modeling and animation software often used by animation artists, product designers, game creators but it also has a strong community of artists and computer scientists behind it, constantly improving the code to deliver powerful software without the hefty price tag. Beyond its popularity, Blender still has one major drawback for users: It can take a really long time to render projects when finalizing an intensive project. Blender is able to use your computer’s central processing unit (CPU) or graphics card (GPU)—or both—for rendering. In Blog's Today, we share some useful techniques with you, to speed up those tedious tasks and smooth out your Blender workflow as quickly as possible.
